Kangaroo courts are typically established by individuals or organizations seeking to exploit others or punish those who pose a threat.
These courts are frequently used to punish anyone who is suspected of breaking the rules of the group or community.
Kangaroo courts can be found in military tribunals, religious tribunals, and even some industrial settings.
They frequently lack impartiality, transparency, and adherence to the law.
Before starting work at the hospital
Conrad is in bed with Nic when the episode begins.

Mina and Dr. AJ establish ground rules for their new relationship and decide to keep it private for the time being.
Devon has flashbacks and remembers his father before going to work at the hospital. Devon will later seem to be out of focus due to multiple flashbacks.
Meanwhile, Dr. Bell tries to reconnect with the old family.
Mina’s Kangaroo Court
Mina and Dr. AJ are called to see patient Mullins. He entered the Hospital with a case of worsening dyspnea.
He is having difficulty in breathing.
They discover that there is evidence of pulmonary hypertension and that there are blood clots in the artery leading from the heart to the lungs.
Found out this could be related to a previous unnecessary urgent surgery performed by Dr. Cain and then following Covid infection.
This means that if Mullins caught Covid in the hospital, it’s Cain’s fault and he should stop practicing.
Mina says that in “Mina’s kangaroo court, Barret Cain has a death sentence”.
As we already seen, Kangaroo courts are an unconstitutional and frequently untrustworthy form of extrajudicial justice that occurs outside of the purview of a recognized legal system.
That’s the reason that the episode of the resident mina’s kangaroo court name is so apropriate.
Mina has judged Dr. Cain without any legal proof.
Dr. AJ confronts Dr. Cain and finds that he lied on Mullin’s file to survive in the rigged system.
Mina wants Dr. Cain to be fired because he is a menace. But Dr. AJ understands Dr. Cain’s reasons behind what he did and doesn’t want to report him.
Then Mullins has a stroke and needs surgery asap Dr. Cain had to open Mullins head to stop the internal bleeding.
Congressman Randall almost dies
Nichell is taken to the hospital by her driver, and she is feeling fever and diarrhea and almost faints.
Devon and Conrad take her in and try to figure out what she has.
She says it wasn’t covid because she was vaccinated.
Conrad wants to know where she traveled.
Nichelle says she went to a yoga retreat in Kentucky.
Conrad says there’s a fungal infection in that area called histoplasmosis.
They start the treatment, but it is ineffective and she gets worst.
Then Nichele falls into the ground spilling blood.
She has lesions on L3 and L4.
Conrad and Devon know there’s something else she is not telling and they need to know, because she will die.
Conrad finds out that Her driver has the same thing she has and that they were having an affair.
The driver tells Conrad that they went to the Caribbean.
They start the treatment and Nichelle gets better.
They wore hiding the affair because she was afraid of losing her reputation.
Conrad notices that Devon is not right and talks with him.
Devon tells Conrad that he went to the hospital where his father was hospitalized and that they were understaffed which was the reason that his father died alone.
At the end of the episode, Nic tells Conrad that she is pregnant.
Dr. Bell tries to bond with his former Stepson
DR. Bell realizes that he is alone and has always put work above his relations and tries to bond with his former stepson jake.
He is his first wife’s kid.
He tries to talk with him at a bar where he plays music, but the talk goes south.
At the end of the episode, he tries to talk again with Jake and finds that he turned out to be a surgeon.
But he doesn’t give credit for his success to Dr. Bell.
Dr. Voss talks with the CEO of red rock and wants to know who is replacing Kim as Chastain’s CEO.
